What decisions have you made when putting together your visual system guidelines and why?

I have all the elements for the visual system, however, creating the guidelines has been a challenge. Part of it is because I am still experimenting with the style. The most difficult part is trying to make the elements serve a purpose and not just poke out of the edges.

What user testing method have you selected for your deliverables, and why do you think it will work?

I have decided to use Evaluative Research as my user testing method for my deliverables. This means that other users will evaluate or look over the deliverables and give feedback. This will work because fresh eyes often spot the trouble areas.

What did you learn during this process that was new or interesting?

I bought a book called Cover by Peter Mendelsund. I am currently looking through it so that I may get some more ideas on the cover for my news magazine. I am planning to create a series of covers to showcase how the different volumes will look.
